Introduction

ClawX is not the official original version of OpenClaw, but a third-party desktop graphical interface tool developed by the ValueCell-ai team based on the OpenClaw core. Since the tool embeds the OpenClaw core runtime, conflicts may occur with the original OpenClaw if it has been installed on the computer. Therefore, it is recommended to deploy and use ClawX on a computer without OpenClaw installed.

Security Notes:Due to the inherent security issues of OpenClaw such as architectural design flaws, plug-in ecosystem risks, and sensitive information leakage, for data security, it is strongly recommended to install and use ClawX in a virtual machine. If running on a physical machine, use a separate computer without important files or sensitive data. Meanwhile, avoid installing third-party skill plug-ins from unknown sources, do not bind ClawX to a public network address, and only run it in a local/intranet environment.

Compared with the original OpenClaw which requires complex command-line operations and manual configuration of various files, ClawX's core advantage is its extremely low installation and usage threshold, realizing "one-click installation and out-of-the-box use". It does not require professional command-line knowledge, and all operations can be completed through a visual interface, perfectly solving the problems of the original OpenClaw's complex configuration and unfriendliness to ordinary users.

Underlying Technology Stack

ClawX is developed with cross-platform technologies, and its core technology stack includes: Electron 40+ (runtime), React 19 + TypeScript (UI framework), Tailwind CSS + shadcn/ui (styling), Zustand (state management), Vite + electron-builder (build tools). It adopts an overall dual-process architecture to realize process isolation between the AI runtime and the interface, ensuring smooth operation.
