Introduction

Note: this page only catalogs third-party open-source projects and links to their official repositories; it neither develops, hosts nor distributes any software and assumes no liability. These are independent, open-source works written from the ground up, unaffiliated with and not authorized by any third-party commercial software or its maker; any third-party names, formats or trademarks are referenced for interoperability and description only.

LightCraft is a free, open-source photo library and color-grading app, written from scratch in Rust, delivering a complete "library + raw develop" workflow. Its motto says it all: "your photos, your pixels, your machine" — everything runs on your own computer.

What it lets you do:

  • Manage thousands of photos: build a library, cull, rate, tag, organize into albums and batch-process a whole professional selection workflow locally.
  • Grade and develop raw files in a few clicks: exposure, contrast, white balance, tone curve, cinematic color grading, presets & profiles, and an HSL color mixer to give flat raw files real character.
  • Effortless local edits: point-and-shoot masking and one-click subject/sky selection make pro-level local adjustments approachable.

Product highlights:

  • Native, pure Rust, local-first: no cloud dependency; your photos never need to be uploaded.
  • End-to-end agent-drivable over MCP, from import to finished photo — great for batch pipelines.

Team & tech: built by the community ArtCraft team (GitHub user storytold, site getartcraft.com); the Craft series is 100% pure Rust with an egui UI and wgpu rendering, and is an independent open-source work unaffiliated with any third-party commercial software.

Platforms: macOS, Windows, Linux, and a browser (WebAssembly) build. Young and moving fast.
